Study in South Korea from Bangladesh: documents and D-2 visa

Bangladesh → Korea: use the local myGov/MOFA e-Apostille route, prepare academic originals and a separate visa file with family, banking and tax evidence. General visas go through Dhaka VAC from 2 September 2026. University and consular checklists are separate.

Authentication follows the document’s issuing country. Citizenship and residence can differ: use the checklist of your consular jurisdiction. Your university and specific intake determine the exact required records, translations and submission format.

Documents: local preparation

  1. Prepare school/degree certificates and transcripts as originals and copies. Dhaka’s visa checklist separately requires local academic-document authentication; your university decides the admission list and format.

  2. For Bangladesh-issued records, register with myGov and use MOFA’s government e-Apostille service. The official directory links applications, status and signature verification. This route follows the document’s issuing country, not citizenship alone.

  3. For the visa file, prepare a birth certificate, a City Corporation/Union Office family certificate within three months, and parents’ NOC. Dhaka says the NOC needs no notarization; parents’ ID/passport copies are listed where possible.

  4. A provisional certificate is conditionally accepted in the published visa guidance for graduation within one year before the Certificate of Admission, with the final certificate supplied at a later stay extension in Korea. University acceptance must be checked separately.

D-2 student and D-4 language visas

  1. Dhaka D-2/D-4 lists bank solvency and six-month statements, a tax certificate, two years of returns and tax-challan. A guarantor supplies job/Trade Licence evidence; asset valuation/affidavit cases need the registered deed checked. There is no verified single amount for everyone.

  2. The published D-2/D-4 list includes Bangladesh Police clearance and a designated-centre TB result, each within three months. Check the current designated centre and submission date first; an ordinary certificate from any clinic is not the listed document.

  3. Dhaka’s combined D-2/D-4 guidance lists TOEFL/IELTS within two years. Confirm applicability with the mission for your language course, teaching language or scholarship. A university’s language threshold and the visa evidence requirement can differ.

  4. Complete the Korea Visa Portal e-Form and print its barcode. From 2 September 2026, use Dhaka VAC for general visa submission and passport collection, with a separate appointment per applicant. The newer notice replaces the old student page’s embassy-visit instruction.

  5. Check the Certificate of Admission, university payment certificate and flight-booking slip listed by Dhaka for D-2/D-4. A booking does not mean purchasing a nonrefundable ticket. The page was first published in 2021 and amended; check newer notices before submitting.

The reviewing authority may request further education, financial, family or identity evidence if the submitted information is insufficient. There is no fixed document count by citizenship here. Before submitting, open the complete current university and consular instructions.

Language, university and programme

Check TOPIK, IELTS or TOEFL against your teaching language and programme. University language requirements and consular language checks may differ. GKS is a separate scholarship competition with its own guide; it does not replace regular admission.

Choose citizenship when registering. It stays in your account and can later be changed in your profile. This reference page does not change your account.
