Study in South Korea from Tajikistan: documents and D-2 visa

Tajikistan: MFA apostilles academic records; Justice handles civil/notarial records. Dushanbe has its own submission process and a separate D-2/D-4 language notice.

Authentication follows the document’s issuing country. Citizenship and residence can differ: use the checklist of your consular jurisdiction. Your university and specific intake determine the exact required records, translations and submission format.

Documents: local preparation

  1. Tajik school certificates, degrees and academic transcripts follow the MFA apostille procedure.

  2. If a birth/marriage or notarial document needs apostille, use the Justice Ministry route, separate from MFA academic authentication.

  3. An apostille.tj online application is followed by originals. The published list includes ID, original/copy, taxpayer ID and fee receipt.

  4. MFA lists 5–7 working days normally and 1–3 expedited. Verify the issued apostille in the register; visa processing is separate.

D-2 student and D-4 language visas

  1. Dushanbe’s published process accepts applications Tuesday–Wednesday 09:00–12:00 without appointment except C-3-4. Confirm opening days before travelling.

  2. The published process pays the visa fee at Oriyonbonk on submission day; attach the receipt. Confirm the amount for your category/citizenship.

  3. A 11 June 2026 embassy notice expands Korean-language evidence for D-2/D-4. Confirm your programme’s applicability before testing; no unverified universal TOPIK threshold is imposed.

  4. After submission use visa.go.kr: Check Application Status & Print → Diplomatic Office. Obtain D-2/D-4-specific and supplementary requests from Dushanbe’s consular section.

The reviewing authority may request further education, financial, family or identity evidence if the submitted information is insufficient. There is no fixed document count by citizenship here. Before submitting, open the complete current university and consular instructions.

Language, university and programme

Check TOPIK, IELTS or TOEFL against your teaching language and programme. University language requirements and consular language checks may differ. GKS is a separate scholarship competition with its own guide; it does not replace regular admission.

Choose citizenship when registering. It stays in your account and can later be changed in your profile. This reference page does not change your account.
